(Old) Rural Sexual Assault Care - Expanded

Are you a rural healthcare professional wanting to upgrade your skills?

The Rural Sexual Assault Care - Expanded (RSAC-E) micro-credential prepares rural medical professionals to provide care to survivors of recent sexual assault. Based on the Enhanced Emergency Sexual Assault Services (EESAS) program developed by Dr. Carter-Snell, this course examines the role of healthcare professionals in assessment, intervention, and court testimony following a sexual assault. It addresses the physical, mental, and emotional dimensions of caring for a sexual assault survivor while acknowledging the challenges of providing care in a rural setting, such as limited resources and geographical isolation.

Participants who complete this course will be able to navigate this specialized type of medical care with skill and confidence.
