Admissions - Continuing Education FAQ

Who can apply for Continuing Education courses?

Just about anyone can apply to take courses with Continuing Education. In our courses, there may be age limits or prerequisites. Please contact us if you have any questions - 1-866-378-9675, or email: CE@NWPolytech.ca

Are there prerequisites for your courses?

A few of our courses do have prerequisites, mainly our computer courses and certification courses. Each course listing on this site or in our academic calendar will have a prerequisite listed if there is one.

Importance of arriving to class on time

Quite a few of the courses offered by Continuing Education are governed by outside bodies.  NWP Continuing Education must follow the guidelines they set for these courses.  Therefore, if you are late for a class, we have to deny entrance.  Examples of these courses would include Air Brakes (Alberta Transportation), H2S Alive (Enform) and Standard First Aid (St John Ambulance), among others.

If a student is late and entrance is denied, no refund is given.

How do I get to Northwestern Polytechnic?

NWP's parking lots can be accessed from the intersection of 108 Street (the Bypass) and 107 Avenue, or you can turn north at The Keg and follow 106 Street until you meet the stop sign in front of Anderson hall. At this stop sign, turn left and the Continuing Education entrance is straight ahead on your right. [Map]

Where is your office located?

We are located in M105, just down the hall from the gym.
