Supportive Care Assistant

The Supportive Care Assistant Certificate Program was developed to increase the number of people trained to work in long term care, as a response to staff shortages due to the pandemic and provide assistance to Health Care workers.   You will work in long term home care settings and focus on non clinical activities to support clients and the health care team.   

The program consists of an on line component, Standard First Aid and CPR and a Food Safety course.  Fees for each component are charged separately.

Students have 90 days to complete the program.   People working in health care industries typically must provide a clear Police Information Check prior to employment.
