Water Distribution II

This course offers an in-depth exploration of pumps used in water and wastewater facilities, covering piping systems, hydraulics, pump theory, and operation. Gain expertise in interpreting and setting water rates, conducting water audits, and the selection, installation, testing, and calibration of diverse water meters. Lab activities will focus on troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for various pumps and valves, ensuring practical skills and comprehensive knowledge in water facility operations and management.

Class schedule:

 

  • 8 Days: 45 hours of self-paced online learning, with an instructor available to answer questions.

  • 6 Days: Weekdays, in-person lectures and laboratory activities at NWP Grande Prairie campus.

This class is eligible for 9.6 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits through the Government of Alberta Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program.
